Who We Are

Irish Language Vancouver is a newly founded language school in BC, started by Felix Ó Murchadha, a native Irish speaker from Co. Galway, Ireland.

The Irish language, or Gaeilge (G-whale-i-ga) as it’s called in its native form, is a beautiful part of the Irish culture, full of history and tradition. It’s not just a language; it’s a connection to Ireland’s past, its people, and its rich heritage. Even though Gaeilge has faced many challenges over the years, it is still alive and experiencing a revival! This revival is not just in Ireland, but all over the world. With so many people proudly celebrating their Irish roots and many returning to the lands their ancestors hailed from, we’ve noticed a growing interest in learning more about the language and where it comes from.

We focus on flexible learning, allowing students the ease to learn about the Irish culture at their own pace, in a fun and comfortable environment.
